Be sure to take breaks from the heat! Drink plenty of water. Wear light clothing. Those of you heading out to the ball park: be sure to take high SPF sunscreen, and plenty of water/Gatorade. Make sure your kids get a good amount of salt before heading out to play, this will be instrumental in preventing cramps(Just make sure you don't give them too much! It can expedite dehydration! Depending on their age, you shouldn't give them more than 1/2 a table spoon of salt) Make sure they pre-hydrate also, and stretch for at least 30 mins prior to game time.

We'll be mostly sunny until Wednesday when we introduce the opportunity for some isolated thunderstorms carrying through until Friday. Expect a 30% chance Wed, Thurs, Fri of storms. Nothing severe expected, but keep an eye out just to be precarious. We'll clear up Saturday, and expect scattered storms next Sunday. ***Again it's a little early to be forecasting this far ahead, but all of the models seem to support this synopsis. We'll bring an update early next week as models become updated.
BEACH FORECASTS
GULF SHORES, AL: Good looking Saturday. Highs in the low to mid 90s for the week. Isolated T-Storms beginning Sunday and lasting through next Friday. Typical beach weather.
ORANGE BEACH, AL: You can expect very similar conditions to Gulf Shores.
DESTIN, FL: Currently raining, clearing up tonight. Isolated T-Storms tomorrow and Sunday. Mostly sunny Monday, then T-Storms become more likely Tues-Fri. You can expect highs in the low 90s, peaking Monday at 94*F, then we'll see a continual cooling trend as temps dip down into the high 80s Thurs-Sun.
GENERAL OBSERVATIONS
Last weekend marked the end of the spring severe weather season. It has been a rough and monumental one at that. Hopefully mother nature will grant us a break for a while, but as us southerners know, severe weather is a constant possibility throughout the year. You can expect a few isolated severe weather possibilities until the end of summer as we begin to make our way into the fall. With that transition, severe weather chances begin to ramp up again.
Our Bama Softball team won their game today, putting them at 2-0 in the winners bracket of the Women's College World Series! Way to go girls! Keep up the hard work! T-TOWN NEVER DOWN.
