Severe Weather Threat Over for Tuscaloosa

Tuscaloosa found itself under the gun again for severe weather this morning, though it was nothing compared to April 27th. You can expect a significant cool down this afternoon/evening. With highs in the lower-mid 60s for the rest of the week. Warming trends will feed a nice weekend with the high Saturday of 69*F, and Sunday we'll be looking at 75*F, clear skies both days. Warm weather continues through our next rain chance coming Tuesday or Wednesday of next week when we expect isolated thunderstorms.

Auburn University and the Auburn/Opelika Metro area was hit by a tornado within the past hour. Damage reports are streaming in. So far, based off of everything that I have seen, the campus was spared very similar to UA's dodging the April 27th tornado. Some reports of structural damage within the cities of Auburn and Opelika. Please call and check on any loved ones in that area, and pray for their recovery in the days to come. Though the Auburn tornado was no where near the size and strength of the Tuscaloosa tornado, people's lives are still disrupted.
