Severe Weather Possibility Tuesday

West Alabama finds itself in the slight risk category issued by the National Weather Service for Tuesday. See the image below (DAY 2 CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK/PROBABILISTIC OUTLOOK)

WHAT WE CAN EXPECT...
Strong, damaging winds in the afternoon, and occasional hail. Very small chance of tornadoes forming.

SYNOPSIS
All of the atmospheric players will be in place to produce a severe weather event. Now, that's not to say it will be anything like April 27th. As the cold front sets to come through tomorrow afternoon, storms will begin to fire just ahead of the front. These storms will most likely produce damaging winds, spotty hail, and locally heavy rainfall. Keep an eye out on the weather tomorrow as it is likely that Severe Thunderstorm Warnings will be issued as necessary, and maybe even Flash Flood Warnings depending on how much rain this system produces.

We will continue to monitor the weather situation and bring you updates as they become available.
